Traditional D-profile Ring
During this workshop you will make one traditional ring. The 4mm thickness is standard but you may upgrade to the 6mm wide band on the day at extra cost.
Suitable for complete beginners with help on hand if needed!
Approximate time: 3-4 hours
After a health and safety discussion, you will be introduced to the tools to be used and receive a demonstration on the various methods of silversmithing
You will learn:
To cut a length of silver with a piercing saw
How to anneal the silver with a gas torch, allowing you to add shape and texture
Form the silver into a ring shape and size it to your finger
How to solder the join to create a continuous round ring shape
File and buff the ring to a smooth finish
You will then polish your ring to a mirror finish ready to wear with pride!

Priced per person and includes a gift voucher and design sheet, posted First Class to you in a board backed envelope, ready for you to give to your recipient.
The voucher is valid for 12 months, during which time a workshop date must be booked, otherwise the voucher becomes void.
Workshops are held on week days, week day evenings and Sunday afternoon’s after 4pm as the shop is closed while a workshop is in progress.
Light refreshments will be provided, please let me know of any allergies/food intolerance’s or feel free to bring your own.
The shop and workshop area is on the ground floor, however, our toilet is down a flight of stairs in our basement, please consider this if accessibility may be an issue!
